Out from Talbingo, past the Tumut 3 power station is the spectacular Talbingo Reservoir and dam. It is one of sixteen major dams that make up the Snowy Mountains Scheme, and, aside from the boating, swimming and picnic opportunities, the views, on a good day, are postcard-perfect.
Pro tip: enoy the views from water level, then go up to Landers Falls Lookouts to see things from on high.
