Snowy Mountains (Easter 2008)

A few important things to note from our Easter trip in 2008. It happened earlier than usual – late March rather than the usual April – and the night before Good Friday, Ben, Nathan and I went to see KISS on their Alive 35 Tour. It was the most extraordinary show I’d seen to that point, with the flames, smoke, blood-spitting, elevating drum risers and songs sung from the Allphones Arena rafters. Heck of a way to start the weekend!

Fred and Karen came again, with Lauryn with her friend Jen, and brought their friends, the Hines’. You will not meet a nicer bunch of people than, Paul, Madeleine, Josh and Lachlan. It was fun to get to know them over the weekend, and have many, many, many laughs.

Mum and dad had their camper trailer. Matt brought Thao down for her first camping experience. Having such a big group made it one of the more memorable.The group photo we took that year is still one of the best we’ve managed, even though Rebecca wasn’t with us, and I can’t remember why!
