Colorado River Cruise (October 2010)

In the middle of a few days in Las Vegas, NV in October 2010, I took a raft tour with Black Canyon River Adventures down the picturesque and peaceful Colorado River from beneath the Hoover Dam and the newly-created Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge through Black Canyon to Willow Beach (on the Arizona side).

The best spot to get a photo of the entire Hoover Dam wall is from beneath.

Getting to see Hoover Dam from it’s base was worth the price of admission alone.

We actually had law enforcement inspect the bus we drove down on…

If you’re looking for a nice way to escape the craziness of Las Vegas, you can’t go wrong with a cruise like this. A great day out!
