April 2016: Booroomba Rocks (Namadgi National Park)

It was one of the best pure accidents of my life.

When we decided to go down to Canberra, my cousin thought it would be a good idea to do a bushwalk, so she Googled ‘Bushwalks in Canberra‘ and we found the Booroomba Rocks trail in the Namadgi National Park.

After walking almost exclusively uphill from the carpark (after a spectacular drive up into the mountains from Tharwa, which is a delight all on it’s own) for a good 45 minutes, you emerge from the trees to enjoy one of the most extraordinary views I’ve ever seen…
