April 2016: 101st Anzac Day Commemorations in Canberra

Our weekend in Canberra culminated with a visit to the Australian War Memorial for the very moving Dawn Service to commemorate the 101st anniversary of the landings in Gallipoli, Turkey. I’ve never been involved in anything quite as moving. It was lump-in-your-throat stuff, from the pre-service recitations of diaries and letters from men and women in combat zones to the service itself. Highly recommended.
